The article by Heller (1930) was translated into English by WC Hulse in
1954, and provides Heller’s view on the psychotic disorders of the
children that he observed.  Creak (1938) worked to improve the
behavioral classification of children with Heller's syndrome or childhood
schizophrenia.

Klüver and Bucy (1939) studied the behavior of monkeys in which parts
of the temporal lobes and underlying areas of the limbic system were
removed.  The behavioral changes they observed are often cited as
suggestive of temporal lobe and/or limbic system abnormalities in autism.
